Found a complete olds diesel with transmission that runs for cheap.Anyone know if the pulleys and power steering pump are the same as a gas 350? Needing pulleys and ps pump for a v6 to v8 G body swap.
Will do...waiting for some warmer weather.Kid decided to go back to school so he doesn't have full time pay to put in the car.Hopefully it will be running and driving this summer. As far as I know they are the same from 307 ,350, 403 but years may change a bracket by adding the air pump but should work out.
Always wanted a olds diesel engine thought it would be a different cool since I was running an olds 350 then a olds 455 10 plus years ago
Keep us updated on the project and post pics
So are you building a gas engine out of the diesel or keeping it a dieselWill do...waiting for some warmer weather.Kid decided to go back to school so he doesn't have full time pay to put in the car.Hopefully it will be running and driving this summer.
Hope to build a gas engine someday.Have a 350 I'm building for my sons car right now and then a healthy 403 for my Hurst. So are you building a gas engine out of the diesel or keeping it a diesel
They are beefy and have solid mains. The cranks are the same as a BBO.There are alot of stroker kits for them and you can bore them up to.125 safely.Seems I remember hearing to save diesels for conversions. The blocks were heavier, better castings IIRC
Are you saying its compatible with a hydroboost brake booster? The power steering pump is different it's for a hydroboost but all the brackets and pullys should be the same FYI I'm looking for one of those pumps if you want to let it go
