And Milidon as well along with the pick up falling apart. Their stock replacement should be fine. Summit brand also has a stock replacement.
So Milodons pick up is no good?

Inspect the welds and make sure the screen is secure. It may have been a random bad part but one one member on ROP a few years back had an engine go south and the Milidon pick up was laying in the pan upon inspection. So Milodons pick up is no good?
Well then I think you have your answerI have the Milodon pan on my BBC in my Malibu never had an issue.
But im new to the Olds stuff.
And learning whats good and whats not for them
There has been bad cracking issues with both Moroso and Milidon. I know some were big power BBO, so there is a lot of twisting going on. Cutlassefi has seen quite a few issues personally and won't use them for builds. For a stock replacement BBO pan only so much can wrong on a 225 hp 403. Just like any part for any brand of engine, if it doesn't look good, don't use it.This is funny because I have heard of these issues before and after I bought my pan and pickup but have never seen actual pictures of any milodon pans cracked or broken pickups not saying it can’t happen but I regularly beat my car and have had 0 issues
If you have it, run it. Just keep an eye out for leaks and or cracks.Well, I lose when the odds are 50/50. So, I was feeling good when I heard it was Moroso and I'm running Milodon. But, it would figure Milodon's are junk too.
I've got 4000 miles on this engine with no "known" issues. But, I will be lucky to get my build back on the street period at this point without worrying about an engine pull and pan drop just to check it? I've even punted the full frame drop to box, blast, and coat it in lieu of just the 2" separation to get the GD bushings swapped. Will clean it as good as I can and POR it or something while separated 2". Miraculous recovery with my health? I can always "do it twice Garth" later as a miraculous recovery will likely make me wanting more power than my cheesy wimpy little 450/550.
