You can log driveline/ABS encoder speed, add 2 axis G meters, custom channels for ROC of acceleration, Calculate estimated horsepower on fuel flow. A few different paths to figure things out.

Wheel spin is easily detected in the logs. Power is relatively accurate and easily calculated from both PW, DC, RPM and those 3 can be used to confirm that fuel flow is accurate. Where the fuel flow number gets janky on Holley's end is if there are any inaccuracies in fuel pressure.

Same goes for converter slip with the 4L80 - relatively easy to determine. The one thing that is either missing or I haven't figured out how to do yet is put a calculated field into a log. With Tuner Studio that we use on the MegaSquirt stuff it's very simple. On my kid's car I can actually set it up for feedback based wheel spin and aim for a certain amount, i.e. it's fastest when the rear wheels are moving 8% faster than the fronts with his Nitto's.

I haven't used a Draggy at all though. I'd like to, but just haven't had the time to consider the investment. I have so much other stuff to get done before then.

Sorry for the minor thread-jack Jim, but I guess I’m just too old school now. I once considered going fuel injection, but after reading all your guys’ posts on here I’m smart enough to realize it’s all WAY over my head.

Duke likes to bust my chops on a regular basis about my using carburetors, but at least I don’t have to have a computer sciences degree to tune and use one.

I guess in the end I’m like the guy in the old Quizno’s commercial that likes his bushes.
