hey whats up. new member here from findlay,OH but not unfamiliar with the site. Before I go any further a have a HUGE confession.....I dont have a G Body rite now but I have had several over the past 15 years, the most recent being an 81 Camino I had from 7-10 till 11-11. Sometime in the near future I plan to get another G Body for a toy/cruiser. I'm seriously thinkin about a 78-80 Monte this time. Rite now my daily is a 95 GMC Safari that is 100% rust free (its from Florida). I have a rather large family so I needed somethin with lots of seats. The reason I call myself a stalker is cuz I have been visiting this site often since I found it 3 years ago during a google image search. One of my fav hobbies is combing the net for pics of cars and trucks. I am a huge GM fan and G Bodys are def one of my fav "groups" of cars. I am hopefully that my love of G Bodys and my previous ownership of several will be enough to keep the powers that be from kickin my non G Body havin *ss off this site. I thought about joining when I had my Camino but never got around to it. The reason I wanted to join now is so I can chat with other members about my past cars, thier cars, put in my 2 cents about the topics, start new ones, and so on. I also thought it my increase my chances at findin a nice ride when I have the means in the future.

past cars,in order

80 malibu 4 door
81 malibu wagon
82 century 4 door
80 lemans wagon(parts car for the malibu wagon)
84 monte
81 camino(the only one I have pics of) 🙁

the future

a 78-80 monte or any other semi clean 78-86 2 door G Body I can find for under 3 grand

the distant future

I have an idea for a full custom sedan delivery

welcome to the forum, looks like you've had a fair share of gbodys.

thanks for the warm welcome (so far) and for the complements on the camino. i miss it but to be honest the wheels and tires i snagged for it off CL was the only "nice" thing about that car. i found it for $600 and it ran and i always wanted one so i couldnt pass it up (this pic is the day she came home) .truth be told i should have passed. when i got it most of the front end had to be redone before i could drive it;upper control arm bushings( the drivers side bushings were gone, literaly) the rite inner n outer tie rods, the sleeve n the center link, the sway links were broken as well. i also had to do front pads n calipers. the rear shocks were blown and one was broke in half(the guy thru in a nice set of air shocks that worked without air) after all that i had to put in seat belts. i almost forgot onder the hood stuff;a battery, the passanger side valve cover gasket (of course, all of my chevy G's had 3.8's and had to change the pass gasket on ALL of them) the carb was all f**ked up,a few other odds n ends. then theres the exhaust;the muffler was blown out so i changed it then 2 days later the shoddy weld on the extension pipe gave out so i had to gut it all n salvage what i had left to go with the new muffler. funny what you can end up with on a budget($0) and it sounded pretty sweet  . all that just to get it on the road but the body was realy ruf ,both front fender lips rusted out, both rockers rusted out but hiden by the trim, both rear quarters rusted thru along the bottom, the doors were startin to go along the bottom, and the rear pan of the floor was gone. basicly the only body panels that DIDNT need replaced were the hood, tailgate,n bed floor. oh and the rear frame tips were rusted out too. i assummed that the front was low because the springs were worn,i discovered a while after gettin it in the road that the front springs were actually broken but changing them wasnt a priority cuz it road fine n i liked the stance. in submation i spent way too much time n $ on a body that was far beyond savin :blam: but it was worth it to me...why? IT WAS A F**CKIN CAMINO BABY!! thanks again guys, hope i didnt bore you with my ramblin
