Opinions of shaving taillights

I don't care for the Lauren kit, nor do I care for this idea. It just doesn't look right with the tail light area being blank. It looks like exactly what it is - missing tail lights.
Shaving just the plate pocket might look good though, and have the plate below the bumper like you say.
