There is a good chance I will be at a car show on saturday the 11th (next weekend).

Easter Rod Run

Hosted by the Early Irons, and held at the Holiday Inn at UCF, 12125 High Tech Avenue, this show features awards, a swap meet, vendors, 50/50 drawing, kids games, Easter Bonnet Contest, and much more. Holiday Inn room rate is $86, and includes two Friday evening buffet tickets. All proceeds will benefit the Russell Home For Atypical Children. Pre-registration before March 28th is $20, day of show is $25.

Im having trouble finding more info, but maybe 86UCFCutlass can find out some info? i was actually planning on being in UCF that day anyway for a guidance cousiler meeting. There should be a few people that should come!

going to bed: so im bumping this in hope that someone who can go will see it

I wish I had known about this earlier! I would love to go and see it, even though it would not be in the Cutlass as I still have at least 2 more months before I will be able to afford to make it truly road worthy (putting it around town once in a while doesn't count.) Us Floridians need to get together some time though, and see each other's cars-when they are all drivable!

haha mines not going to be roadworthy either by then. but over the summer maybe we can get our cars together, but you guys should show up if you can.

hmmm.. i guess its a classic car show isnt it... damn.... see, i got all excited cause i was actually planning on being RIGHT there on that day anyway. sigh... guess we can wait to another show 🙁

The one thing I hate about the "Car Shows" is the awful 1950's music. That, and I can't really identify with most of the people there. Most of them have lots of money to spend on their cars, and many of them pay someone else to build them. The way I see it, if someone else is going to build me a car, it's gonna be BMW. At least then I have a warranty. Hot Rodding should be about the creativity of the owner, not the builder they commission to do all the work for them. I'd frankly rather be around a bunch of kids in home built Civics than a bunch of rich guys who don't turn their own wrenches and think they can buy their way into the hobby. I know this does not describe all the attendees of these shows, but I just feel such a disconnect with them that I no longer bother. Give me a domestic or domestic/import show with music no older than Nirvana and I'll be much happier than I would listening to Do Wop.

haha AGREED! i would much rather go to an import show and listen to deafening sub-woofer competitions than a go to a classy show any day, the people are more interesting and they are somewhat our age, hell there was a 45 year old lady with a kick *ss 350z at an import show who had awsome experience with z's and had built that car right. at least the ricers do their own spray painting.lol

we should host our own car show down there, ill drive down there to help if yall want, i should be ready in a few months
