is it possible to put over drive on a th350? and if not what kind of trany would i need? i want decent gas milage but also be able to jump outa the hole quickly.

The only way to put overdrive on a TH350 is to use a Gearvendors OD unit. Expect to pay upwards of $2200, not counting driveshaft and crossmember mods. Or, get a 200-4R as noted above.
A 7004R will let you "jump outa the hole" quicker than your th350 or a 2004r. It will make 3.73 gears feel like 4.11 would with a th350 in first gear.
That said, it would definitely require both a new crossmember and driveshaft mods. The 2004R would just require the crossmember.
