Paint job

I took the car completely apart had the jambs and inner fenders painted also I spent about $4000.
Red paint is expensive. We had It shot with PPG Envirobase waterborne. Porsche Guards red. LM3A
It came out very smooth only had to color sand a few spots,I am very happy with it.

If you came to my friends shop where i work at.... His basic paint job is 1400... Thats us taking off lights, door handles and most body trip.... And covers m.ost door dings etc.... And we do a two stage paint job that he garantees for five years.... Now if you want a complete strip down and door jambs painted etc.... Or if theres is some major dents.... Can go up considerably.. we are doin a ford galaxy stripped down to bare metal... His price is almost in the 11000 range... But most shops around here in cali charge 30 to 50 an hours... Insurance jobs when est. Are rated at 42 an hour when est. By the insurance company... Hope this give u an idea.... And if you did go to maaco etc.... You really do get what u pay for....

Some Macco's actually know what they are doing and do good work......... I did the body work on the car, all the dings etc and they sanded, put a thick (yellow) epoxy primer. I took all the trim off myself, left all windows in. It was the better single stage paint and it cost me $750 with the hood, trunk and door jambs.

this car looked great. They have a good painter and the prepped it correctly. For $750 this was a deal, Looked great and actually shined real nice !!! after it cured for 2 months, i waxed it nice and looked even better !!!!

yeah I sold that car, but I am doing a 80 Monte and he is going to do that one for me too
