looked it up but couldnt find anything.. i have chrome rallies and im considering painting the black parts to match the tan color of the car... what are the steps in preparing it?
If they are already painted, simply scuff and repaint. Base/Clear would be your best bet.
If the area that you want to paint is chrome, you will need to first sand then use a Metal etch primer and a sealer before the base coat application. Remember, that you can get the paint to stick to the chrome but if the chrome fails to adhere then the paint will come off with it.
If you are just looking for a color change and are not too worried about the finish, then look for a spray paint that is formulated to adhere to bare metal. All you have to do then is scuff and paint.
