How do I tell what box I gots? Either way, it's going. And I was gonna get a pitman arm anyway for a full steering rebuild.

How many times does your steering wheel turn lock to lock?

You can carefully clean off the end cover (opposite the input shaft) and look for a 2 letter ink stamp... but good luck with that.

Or you can spin the steering wheel and count the turns. 3 or less and you have a good box.

Theres a rebuild company in the mid west called Lares. They have a website. You can look up their part number for a quick ratio box by car. I bought two of them for my Malibus. I got them both from Advance Auto. Gave them a crappy old box as a core both times with no issues. All Advance wanted was a core. I dont remember the price but it was pretty cheap for a fresh box and I got it at the local store a few days after placing the order.
