here we go, since it seems to be a nation wide problem with these parts stores(auto zone ect..) i decided to make a gripe thread, please feel free to share your funny, and sometimes frustrating tales about your experiences with these stores.!!!! 😀 😀 😀

how about that "discount box/rack" when you always walk in the door. usually full of lights and other ridiculous flashing objects. i know thats petty, but damn it annoying

I previously worked at one of these parts stores and believe me it's just as annoying to me trying to sell that crap as it was trying to be the customer alot of the time. Since I didn't sell many of the packs of junk crap, I had alot of return customers because I simply didn't hassle them with a bunch of nickel and dime junk they didn't need.

You should look in there from time to time. I got 3 new G body brake pedal pads for ten cents each, and 2 new column shift knobs for under a dollar. I also got a new 10SI alternator plug for a few cents, and 3 packs of 5 drill bits for $1 each. There were a bunch of other things too, but I sat there and went through each and every item to be sure there was nothing else I had use for. I do this every time I go to the parts store as you never know what is going out of inventory.

hmm interesting. I just never gave it any thought because well, I have no patience, and all I ever saw was rice rocket toys. Good call though.

i always like the people who work there but know nothing about cars they only get a job there because they know someone there. forinstance the autozone by my house i go ask the kid for a dentent cable right away he says they dont sell those here so i tell him to type it into the computer and what do u kno they sell them and have a s**t load of them then when he went to go get the cable it was high up and he yell across the store "MOM WHERES TE HOOK AT" i

autozone likes to hire idiots the idiot ratio to a person who knos what there talking about at that place it about 5:1 idk about anyone else but when im trying to do somehitng i never did before i like getting a little info from someone there
