Passenger footwell courtesy light location

Does anyone know where this passenger footwell courtesy light is supposed to mount on my 86 Monte Carlo?

I can't seem to locate that square cutout area on the passenger side of my car.

Mine did not have the lights. But I saved a set from a Firebird. I just drilled a tiny pilot hole where I wanted them, and screwed them in under the lip of the dash with sheet metal screws. They hang backwards facing away from the dash over the open area underneath. A great addition to the car.

There is either a hole in the steel frame in the bottom of the dash far right near the back of the steel frame, or a tab on the computer mounting housing at the top of the computer.
