For tpi, you could get a junk ecm(I use a 7730, with custom chip) then send the info you have to www.pcmofnc.com for a new chip. You could also get a ecm from AutoZone or such for around $100. I payed around $200 for my chip, then I sent the datalog file to them, of the car driving at variable speeds(using TTDatamaster), and they made corrections to the chip and all I had to do was pay for shipping and the chip seems to be perfect. Good company for chips and parts.

your priorities are backwards you should skimp on the headers and buy your cam new, not from the junkyard b/c you don't know what its been through and if the previous owner was an old woman or a leadfooted psycho... That edelbrock tpi intake sounds ok but $810 is steep when the stock unit is already pretty decent...

You are right Pencero, glad you pointed that out to me. I'm going to close this thread and start a new one, since i've made up my mind with going Tpi🙂 Hope you guys will chime in on the new thread. Mods, please close and delete thread.
 
if you are going tpi? i have a complete set-up,in excellent cond,(upper/lower intake,runners,fuel rail,regulator,throttle body,ALL sensors,ecm,wiring harness---87 iroc maf system)i also have a wc t5 from the same iroc w/v8 bellhousing and all ready to go :mrgreen: pm me if interested.need some ends for "LS" goodies 8)
