Hey all, I have a 1986 Cutlass Supreme Brougham with a LSD rear-end. I was wondering what cars I could get a Posi yoke out of to replace the LSD. Any Ideas?

LSD causes hallucinations. It should be avoided

In all seriousness, I don't understand your question. The pinion shaft (or yoke as you refer to it as) is common to all 7.5" rears and has nothing to do with the function of the posi carrier. What is wrong with the posi carrier you have now? If you need another one, you can find them in other G body's or S10 trucks.

I think you may be a little confused, posi and a LSD (limited slip differential) are the same thing. If you have a 1 tire fryer right now you have an open diff. If you roast both you have a posi/LSD. I have found it easier to find an entire posi/LSD rear out a gbody and swap it in. Getting the shims and stuff right inside the housing to swap carriers(I think that's what you were calling yokes) can be a little intense and I wouldn't want to do it with the differential in the car. You also have the chance of finding a rear with better gearing then what you have now. Hope this helps.

I messed up this post. I do have an open diff. My 1 rear spins and the offer sits still. I can wait to do a whole rear axle because of other frame problems that need addressed first. Thanks for the help 🙂
