going to look at a posi rear end for my cutlass this week end. he is asking 400.00 bucks would like to know is this a good price . he said it has 3.42 gears and its out of a gbody any advise would be appreciated.

I agree with the Gov Lock comment. The earlier 7.5 posi carriers were 2 piece types and also should be avoided.
think i'll taking your advise, probably will save me some regret's and some $$$$

Save your $$$ for another 1600 you can get a 9 inch!!!!
It can be done cheaper, "we have the technology"
About $750 for a housing and axle package - order it with the ends you want and a nine inch pumpkin is cheap to put together.
where are you located my ride has a olds 455 with mild cam stock 350 tran need something i can take road trip with.not looking for a big gears
