Great to hear. ECM failures are pretty rare. Would you be willing to perform an autopsy on the old ECM? I'm wondering if there are any visible burns on the board, and whether you can trace that to a particular lead or input. Yeah I know, kind of a long shot.
 
Good to see you got it fixed i know there are alot of people who would have deleted the ccc stuff. My 87 is still stock runs great and gets good milage. I put new plugs in it a couple of years ago and the plugs i took out still looked great. When the ccc works it works good.
