I like the styling of them in the rear better than the aerocoup. I find the aerocoup's back window way too heavy looking. The cutlass salon has a sleeker looking rear...IMO

Good to know I'm not forgetting everything! Checked over at Montecarloss.com and this is what I got.
The '87 Aero was 3526
The '88 SS was 3239
The '87 SS was listed at 3473 though. http://www.darklair.com/monte/production.html
I think those salons are sweet hope someone gets it & does not hack it up, It would be nice with factory buckets console and a manual trans I wish it was close to me I would buy it, I have seen a few of those as 442s with stick shifts, also buick had a century turbo coupe with that body style with front & rear spoilers and hood bulge totally cool to me.
good luck

I'm currently building a 78 salon. Bought it in Ohio, 2 yrs ago. Had the 260(rod knock)auto, p.s., p.b. and air, w/bench seat. From what I understand, this model, w/ bench seat, is the lightest of all the a/g bodies, not sure on the wght. Since that car was originally a diesel, I'd get it in a heartbeat. Do what you want, diesels are usually exempt from emmisions, no matter where you live.
I say get it! I haven`t seen one of those around for ages. I remember a 442 version being one of the top 10 hotrods of the year in around 82-3. It had a complete v8 (can`t remenber which one) with a riv transaxle mounted in the back! Definatly different and original. Just finish the GP before starting the build.
