What compression ratio do you NEED 91 octane. I have a 350 that if I use 64 cc heads will be just under 11:1. Can I still run 87

at 11:1 on a carbed engine will need 91-93 octane.

Thanks man. You said carbed I would be running vortec heads and the only have one vortec intake a tbi intake. Does the tbi setup run a knock sensor and if it does would that help stop the detination.

you can also use the edelbrock performer series carb intakes and the GMPP ramjet EFI system and others.

the tbi does use a knock sensor which will help, but you'll need the right ecm/chip to get maximium advance for power.
