Just curious....were the clear lenses an optional part on all the gbody cutlass' and/or what year did it replace the amber ones?

sign me up toby. About 3 yr ago I made a post talking about 'should i pursue having aftermarket lights made' and everyone said no pretty much but I wish I would have followed thru. I doubt you went through the same source I was going to use but they look really good. I think ppl w/ HID bulbs will be super pleased to get their hands on these lights. Looking back on the 90s, I'm surprised nobody made these a long time ago back when you used to see all those clear tail lights on burbans blazers & silverados. O well they're here now right !

Hi Bill. The clear lenses came on 81-83 models. In 84 the amber replaced the clear. I personally like the clean look of the clear lamps. I think they will sell better than the amber.

My 87 had the clear lenses. I don't think it was by year but rather trim level. The base models were more likely to have the clear lenses while the 442's and brougham's had the amber.

Yeah, I agree..a trim level or ordered option. My '85 had clear ones, I swapped them for amber ones. Generally, the sportier or higher end cutlass had amber, such as Calais/salon or Brogham.
