And what ever the cost of getting the N.O.S. strips put on have as no shop I checked with will do it .

Hope you didn't pay a lot for the stripes...after about 10 years the adhesive becomes very marginal, have seen many people spend a lot on old NOS stripes for various cars that wouldn't even adhere to the paint. Quite possibly why no one will attempt it.

I plan on going back with as close to the factory color as possible.

No reason they shouldn't be able to get the exact same color...the car is not so old that it wasn't formulated in BC/CC.
