Hey guys jus pulled the 83 in and yoked the engine out gettin ready for the 350/700r4. Just wanting to make sure that the Jegster G-body crossmember for the 700r4 switch will fit my Cutlass because it says will not fit cutlass supreme? Grant it mine is a calais but I thought that were all setup the same no matter supreme, calais, salon, etc? I'll post sum pics tomorrow

Anything listed as specifically fitting an Olds Cutlass 'except a Supreme' is a big load of BS.

Okay well its not the next day but here's some pics. man the tear down really makes this poor old cutlass look like a bowl of *ss! But soon it will be back together. my partner finally passed out after about 1:30a.m.

I decided to go ahead and peel the interior out too and get ready to re-dye back to the factory Briar brown. The sun took its toll on alot of the upper panels like most if not all G-bodies. Definitely can't say there's no junk in my trunk. lol

Also nice finding out its gotta factory aluminum hood, bumper supports, drums and factory posi. Still havent found the build sheet though. hopfully its under the carpet...

And I thought I was the only one with a brown bucket seat interior?! Sweet!!!! 🙂

Keep us posted on the jegster x member for that 700r4, I'm thrown one I'm my ride but using my stock/modded double hump x member till I can sock some cash away for it.

Just purchased the trans crossmember and found a driveshaft to cut down. Now I have all the stock original stuff put up and uncut with the original 307 eng and trans. I'll post the install pics this weekend.

Ordered it in the afternoon, next day it was at my door step! hands down that is one bad *ss crossmember. my good friend down the street has an 86 SS he's ordering one next week. I'll find out hopefully this weekend how it fits with the trans.

Well, Finally I got the inner fender supports and core structure sandblasted. found like most sandblasted parts my passenger inner fender structure was rotted bad. So before they were primed, I made a replacement for he swiss cheesed area and primed everything. mixing up some satin black for the frame and fresh parts tomorrow and then get started on the detailing of the engine. Thank god I was begining to wander if I was ever going o get to this ol'gurl again or not.
