Propping up a bench seat - suggestions?

^^^^^^^ what's the difference? I didn't know Elcamino seats were different? Mine does not have the armrest.

seats have been reupholstered already, it's like the backrest is leaning too far backward...

Here is this original seat (right) and what I suspect is a el camino seat (left). The seat on the left leans back more......but it was $50

Not the world's best pic, but you can see how far the backrest on my bench leans.....just wanted it to sit upright a little more.....

You might need all of the brackets from a donor to get it more upright. The ones that attach the lower seat to the upper seat.

I don't see how you could make just the back adjustable on a 50/50 bench. The way they are set up to tilt forward is a pivot joint. You might be able to shim it for one position in the more upright direction but going back would require altering the physical setup of the seat.

Max, in some ways, I suspect not being or feeling upright is attributable to the deterioration/collapse of the seat foam. I just posed the question to seek someone who may have found a solution other than just shimming the back stop. Thanks...
