Hello, All I have finally purchased a Regal.

The vehicle:
1983 Regal Limited
Engine Swaped to 1972 350 Engine with 90's upper from caprice with fuel injection.
Trans 700r4
Rear End Limited slip (unknown gears)
Body: Stock except removed landau and 86 Nose.

Need some help....I am sure it will be a lot.

Lets start with, the transmission.
I need a new trottle valve cable. What should I get one for? I need it b/c it is so tight it is holding the throttle closed.

Next, Throttle cable.
I need a new cable do to the cable plastic end at the motor being broken, still attachs.

Radio:
The previouse owner took all the radio and speakers out.
My first regal when I was a kid had a knob radio. This vehicle I am sure should have one also but, The trim looks like it fits the larger radio. Can someone tell me or sow me what a full din, non-GN /T-type radio looks like? Also, he cut the stock connectors off so where would I get those also? Advice on speakers? Advice where to get a stock radio?

Antenna:
The mount is a ball nut type. Could this be factory? Should I swap to a power antenna? Where to get one? Does a comapny make a regal specific?

HVAC:
Controls for the temp pop about mid swing? What is this a sign of?
When I test drove the vehicle the A/c and heat worked well but, only came out the floor. On the way home I switched it to vent and it went. Turns out that it will switch when the engine is off idle.

weatherstips:
I need the outer window sweep, The trunk, The door bottoms, The door tops. Where to get them, what should I pay.

Body exterior:
The 1/4 panel to roof will need some repair. Landu top removal. What is the best way to prep the lead area.

The deck lid has a latch for eletric but, no switch in vehicle. Where can I get thiis switch? Where does it go.

That is a lot....thanks for the help

The tv cable can be had from summit or jegs pretty cheap, around $30-$40 for a universal piece. Same for the throttle cable. As for the radio, Im not sure about the factory radio, but if you are just looking to install a newer cd player most of them come with a harness that can be hooked directly to the factory wires without the factory harness (crude but it works as long as you can see colors). If you are going to install a factory stereo I would assume you would need to get a harness that connects to the factory stereo as well. I see the weather stripping all the time on ebay. Im not sure about the trunk release, but ebay has one thats suppose to work, not sure if its factory correct for your application. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Trunk-Rel ... es&vxp=mtr

Good luck with the car and post some pics when you get a chance.

You might also check to see if there is a local transmission supply/parts warehouse, might get an adjustable TV cable for the same price if not less. I would score some parts at the junkyard, like the throttle cable (v-6 cars had a little longer one if I recall) and look for a later GM stereo that would plug into your dash.

Pics if you got them...

Now, just find a g-body rear-end with gears in it...or swap the ring & pinion and carrier from an S-10.

I did a test to find that rear gear.

That is mark the pinon and turn the tire one turn and count the turns of the pinion.

I think has less than 2.25 - I didnt even know that was a possabiliy.

It turned 2 full rotations and less than a 1/4.

So............What ya think I got?

i also have a t type radio stock plays cassettes and has treble/bass sliding knobs and DNR buttom basically a "loud" button everything works and have the clips with it for whatever u think its worth its basically a beer coaster in my garage 😛

you can use one of those cassette adapters to ur ipod or phone its what i used to do until i got my indash
