mandrel bend is a bunch of BS on a street car

You will never feel the difference between shop bent or mandrel unless your on a track with a time slip

3-5% gain in perfect conditions with mandrel bending

Look at it like a bendy straw, is it harder to drink out of a bendy straw than a straight straw?

If it actually is, you dont notice it while using it

Like car speakers!

Injected, build it for the future, so you don't have to backtrack when the turbo(s) go on.

I'm not looking at mandrel bent tubing from a performance standpoint, more of an aesthetic thing for me. I know the difference is not noticeable, just looks way nicer. As mentioned in my build thread, this is a street pounder/ show car so every aspect of the build needs to be cohesive.
Nothing wrong with a shop built exhaust by any means, I've had several, not this time though.

That is something I forgot to mention in the original post. Obviously turbo(s) don't really need mufflers, it helps to stealth them down some. Still undecided on a single or twins, I'll cross that bridge when it comes.

Show me how you can build a 2.5” or 3” exhaust out of stainless for $549. Go to your mom and pop muffler shop and ask for this and watch them 1) say they cannot do it, 2) kink the s$$t out of your nice stainless pipe, and 3) charge you double the price for their half a$$ work. Buy the Pypes system! Change mufflers if unsatisfactory and still be under $750, which is the cost of the other system that you’ll get 100 different opinions on.

You can't; I was just throwing it out there. Like I said with my kit on the 67, I didn't like the tailpipes, so I chopped them up to make them fit the way I wanted.

The discussion about aftermarket parts not fitting has been had here several times. It's all about your mindset going in. I approach aftermarket parts assuming they won't fit, and I'll have to make adjustments. You only get frustrated assuming they'll bolt right in. It's a pleasant surprise when they do actually fit the first time.

Get the Holley 3" system. Look at how much time I spent fitting the Pypes system to my wagon. Turn a trick or two if you need the extra $200 - beats all the residual *ss pain and frustration from working with a sub-standard kit. I have a 3.5" DS in the wagon with 3" tubes... you'll be fine.

Not a fan of the pypes system, saw no improvement, it will be coming off. As mentioned your not pushing a lot of HP, size won't be a factor. Don't let a few bucks dictate what you really want.
