I am originally from Montreal. I was planning on take a cruise there this summer in my GP but I have heard stories about the cops taking modified cars off the road in Quebec. So I started researching and found that you have to get your car approved if you modified it before you can drive it on the road. They can pull you over and force you to get an engineer's report on your car if it is modified before you can drive it on the roads again. How strict are the cops with modified cars and modified cars that are not from Quebec.

That's a new one on me Steve,never heard that before.
We did drive across Quebec back in 2014 and saw plenty of QPP and never had any issues.
I also noticed a few modified cars going through Montreal but have no idea if they had any special approval.

The first thing I would want to know is does this apply to out of province vehicles or just vehicles registered in Quebec ???

Alberta plated.
Could be different if you are just driving through or there for a short visit though...
And those lifted trucks stand out a mile away.
