I have a 1979 monte carlo witch i have started to disassemble and found that the car has been in a front end colission witch the front of the frame were i monts to the bumper is smashed... so here is the question... is the monte carlo the only frame i can use under my car or is it true that a cutlass, regal frame with work aswell... guy at work told me there all the same frame... also if they are the same what years do i need to stay in to find the correct frame for my aplication...

there all the same except the elcamino is longer in the middle. you got a pic?

As noted, Camino frames use a 119" wheelbase. Other 78-88 A/G body cars use a 108" wheelbase. Coupe and sedan frames are identical. Wagon frames have some differences in the rear body mounts and don't exactly swap. There are also differences in the trans mount location. The early-80s and later frames have an extended mount for the 200-4R. This will still work on your early car. 1978 cars use different front spindles, but the frame swaps.

This first pic is off the car when i first trailered it home about 3 years ago when i found out my buddy from the town i grew up in was going to hall it off.... this car has a ton of memories so i chose to bring it home in hopes of someday restoring it... the Little girl in the car is my daughter when she was 10... she is now thirteen....

I can get you a '79 Cutlass frame if all else fails.

For your old frame find a local circle track and put the frame up for sale. We just weld those horns up anyway so some team should snatch up that frame real quick......
