If you replace it with the GM part, you won't go wrong. Don't need no stinkin' fuel pressure gage for factory replacement. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say we're talking about GM p/n 6470310, or ACDelco 40777. The "deep can" version for the 305 with A/C. Here's a pic below, but it's upside down. Am I right here? Gonzo1970 chime in here and help me with your Chebby. If so, Rockauto has them, and they're still available for around 23 bucks or so.

But I do agree with pontiacgp about the aftermarket pumps. You really don't always know what you're going to get.

If you don't have a return line, you'll have the shallow can 2 port pump. It's p/n 6470422.

But I'm betting you have fuel return.

I recall it being the shallow, but I will verify before buying.

Adjusted the idle, and its much better.. altho it did quit once this morning.. Going to give it a couple days.


Its already at the "hard to srtat cold" stage, and I imagine thats because the line is empty and/or add to that maybe Im leaking into the intake thru the well plugs... but completely guessing.

I do believe I have a fuel pressure gauge from my Trans Am still... T-Fitting and all. Ill see if I can dig it up.
