it was a stock rebuild. so probably around what? 9-1? i know it needs some non mismatched parts. let us know how those vortecs run. hopefully i'll have a set before the track closes for the year!

got my cam in yesterday. stall is sitting in the garage. just waiting to put everything together! anyone got any other into/tips/suggestions/comments/criticizms?

raced a 94-96 impala SS from a roll. it had exhaust, 3.73, and a 23-2500 stall. outran him pretty good from a roll (mid 2nd-bottom of 3rd). those cars run what? high 14's stock. surely the malibu should be good for some mid 14's atleast, especially after the stall, cam. not getting my hopes up tho. my luck it will probably be luck to break into the 14's

those stock heads your using are probably the 305 heads that they used on the 305 and 350 in those years plus your overcarburated with a 750....with no disrespect I'll be surprised if your car breaks 15...

I think those Imps only ran in the 16's at best stock. But I think with the 4.11's you got a shot at breaking into the 14's. When you plan on running it, i'm getting curious.

not sure yet when i'll get to run it. hopefully soon. should be able to get the stall and cam in in the next couple weeks. probably hit up the local 1/8th mile since it's only 30 minuites away. the 1/4 is an hour. cheaper to tow it home lol.

i asked for your opinions. if i was gonna cry because you gave it to me i wouldnt have asked for it 😉 but DAMN this mother better run some 14's or i'll be pissed at it lol

i tried a few calculators.... unless i'm doing this wrong, at 6k rpm, 28in tire, 4.11 gear, 1.0-1 3rd gear (th350) i should be able to trap 121. that seems a little high to me BUT thats what it said. anyone got a reliable top speed calculator?
