I plan on using SCHROTH harnesses. What would be the best Harness layout for this seat?(or your personal preferences) I would like to use a 5pt. or higher. I dont like the 4pt.( they submarine to much)

The car is going to see the track every now and then.Im building it Pro Touring style. Whats the point of a car if you cant drive it where you want to my car was meant to driven, not carried on a trailer. Im not some Honda owner with Race harnesses that are just for looks.

all he asked if it was for a street car...

Hard to say from the picture but that seat doesn't look like its meant to have a crotch belt, it will have a slit where your crotch would sit it can't wrap around the front of the seat

i never meant that to be hostile... now reading what i said it sounded that way :blam:
sorry.

yes it will technically be a street car

the seat in the picture does't have a slit for the crotch belt, but the same model is available with it, i just used it as an example

ha. i cant believe no one said anything about me misspelling "harnesses" it said "harasses" , its fixed now

I didn't take it as being hostile. Only reason I asked was because I've had 5 points before...but it was in a sandrail. It was a hassle even in that  . I can't imagine using them in a frequently driven street car. If you like 'em -- get 'em. Sounds like you have some pretty serious plans for the car. Most of us just have cruisers and get by fine with the factory retractable 3-ponts. My suggestion is to ride around in a car that's equipped with 5-points and see what you really think about them in real life situations. I'm all for safety but, personally, I think they're a little overkill.

I had a 5 point in a 84 camaro, it was an old beat the heat drag car( Versailles's Dare Car to be Exact). still have it actually, a tree fell on it and ruined the entire front end and damaged allot under the hood, that's another project of mine. It wasn't my favorite set up but i don't like the 4 points , i slid down in them to much.
