15x7 inch rallys with 235/60/15 tires back in the day when the wagon was first built. Nice smooth ride compared to the 17 inch rims on the wagon now.

My seldom 2 cents....My 81 wagon rubs right front top of inner fender. Now has a hole in it. Corvette aluminum 15x8 with 235/60 (i think). Had vett rallies with 225s and they didn't rub.

If I remember I went with the 4.5" backspacing. I used a 7/32" spacer to give them a touch more room to the frame.

Thats exactly how mine was when I bought it .. I see no problem's at all with that .. I just wanted a little more width in the rear for looks only .. I am an old guy and that's what we did in the old days .. Still like the Old School Looks ... Working on getting all 70's Sun gauges in it at the present .. I actually still had my old Sun Super Tach 10 Grand from my 67 Chevelle from many years ago ..
not a wheel tire subject but just wanted to say i think it's great that there are a few 10 grand sun super's still out there. mine is on my 81 malibu and i keep an eye on it at every stop. got mine in 65 just a couple years after graduation from h.s.
