Evening

I just acquired a RallyPac cluster for my 79 Cutlass. I've found a nice guide on how to do the conversion.

But I noticed one thing on the back of the Rally-cluster that is not mentioned in the guide, or present on my standard cluster.

It's the connector beside the speedo hook-up with red/black/green wires in this picture. What is this? What do I need to do with it?

Thanks for any feedback!

I believe that's the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wiring. I think it tied in with the cruise control on the newer models. I would think you wouldn't need it for your 79.

What would I do without this forum? 🙂

Thanks for the info.

Cool. Is it the correct rallypac cluster for your 79' or it a newer model?

As far as I know, it's supposed to be correct for -79. But I'm not hung up on that. Needed the extra guages 'cause I didn't want to have a row of third party gauges cluttering up my interior.
