I'm glad you mention the 383. I don't know dink about the Chrysler/Plymouth realm but have a 383 that was gifted to me many years ago and recall it being referred to as a " 383 magnum"... is that a thing?
Yes! It had a number of versions depending on year and power. There was the Wedge, Commando,and Magnum. They also have two styles of blocks, a tall and short. Basically ( and I could be wrong) you had a truck and a car/ performance block.

Look up the difference between a R and a B block. It will give you measurement difference for the intake to fit. Just filling in as I remember stuff my brother told me. He’s a Mopar guru.
