Yup the Navy didn't have them, that's how we lost Goose.. 😭

I always wondered if that was realistic or not. Never seen an F14 seat myself. Figure it could have been a holdover from the previous gen jets. Supposedly the F4 had issues with the timing on the ejection seats. Sometimes one would end up torching his buddy on the way out. Another not awesome way to go.

They had the Martin-Baker Seats, the newer fighters have the ACES-II if I remember right.
