That land reminds me of being in Ft. Bliss. Endless flats, with mountains in the distance. We thought we could walk from the base to the airport. What a bad idea. Luckily some officer's wives stopped and gave us a ride the rest of the way.

Road marches did seem longer out there cause of the flatness out there. Never thought it was as long of a ride from main post out to Dona Ana either but that was a ride. Regardless I loved my time at Ft. Bliss & wouldn't mind another assignment out there.
