Lighted vanity sun visors were an option for the passenger side only. My 78 Malibu has it and so does my 87 Grand National.View attachment 137313
I have been wrong before. Like the litter bin kick panel. I have never seen a Driver side. I have seen a passenger side on a few on GN's, although mine just had the mirror only. That's why I said " sunvisors". Does anybody have an original on the Driver side?? It should have been an option in any car, on either side.

It was available as passenger side only through GM but if you worked for the supplier that made them you could get driver side also. 😎

But it wasn't an Regular Production Option. That would be like having an ASC sun roof installed after the car was built or even the non OEM t tops.
I’m not arguing that it was ever a production option. I’m simply stating that in the early 80’s I worked for the company that made these. The tooling existed to make both sides. Me and some other guys with a G body’s produced less than 100 parts.

My 83 regal had a ASC sticker on the inner drivers door so I think it was sent out after the car was built jas a stainless trim around the roof, but my half top could of been factory but they never cut the gasket around quarter windows so it had hard top quarter glass.

My 85 salon 307/200 metric/2.14 gear had that center console cassette tape holder.

Is that a factory option or something aftermarket? I've seen someone mention that part in this thread and never thought much of it. I think its sitting in a parts bin somewhere.
