Do you guys know of any rear disc brake conversions that r cheap or do it yourself that I can do and still use 15 inch factory wheels. If so I would be very interested. I recently heard something about 80's model eldorado disc brake from the rear I dont know I just need help guys

If u r talking about the 800.00 set,600 that is crazy priced because I can get converted at a local fabrication shop for 600.00. I am looking for a way to do it myself without a 400.00 plus price tag. I want to be able to use my 15 inch 442 rallies and my disc brake chevy rallies

here you go check out LS customs thread he did it nice for the right price,,,http://gbodyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=30606

Definately a good thread. However, he uses 12" rotors which, to my knowledge, won't fit a 15" rim.

They will work with most Aftermarket 15 inch rims. The 15's on my car clear my LS1 rear disc. No rally's style rim will not clear. Maybe it is cuz of the steel is modded different IDK. But ppls with Weld rims an other aftermarket rims are clearing. But some did say, they had to grind alittle off the top of the Caliper.

Mine fit tight. Like maybe an 1/8 inch between the top of the caliper and the rim.Which I like, knowing I have the biggest brakes I can fits inside my rims front and rear.

you can use the rear brakes off of an LT1 fbody with a little grinding and drilling. I did it b/c i had them laying around. the trick is to switch sides with the calipers and run them in front of the axle. You'll need some 10-12" brake hoses to get the connection in a good place but I did this swap for $100 most of that was replacing the one caliper that was rusted to junk. If you can get a hold of some LT1 rear brakes with backing plates for cheap (which you should everyone replaces them with C5's) it works out pretty nice. I'm running N90's and am running a 5/16 spacer just for added insurance but the diameter was close to fitting my stock 14" rally's.
