I was able to pick up a dual piston brake assemblys today off an 02 2 wheel drive Blazer, the rears are disk also. Im looking at pulling the rears assemblys also, what all should I pull? Also from what Ive been told the frame will need to be notched to make the blazer brakes to work, is there any other mods? Will the proportioning valve work on a G body or should I just use a T fitting with an adjustable regulator to even out the braking/prevent lockup?

Nobody knows about the Blazer brakes?

I believe that there is another thread somewhere on this site about using the Blazer rear disc brakes, and in the end its not really a practical conversion, because of the offset of the rear brake rotors. If you do a search, you should be able to find it. Good luck.

There is several thread here but some say it fits and some say they don't. I don't remember seeing any late 90's Camaros in my local salvage yard.

Rear disk brakes from a 4x4 blazer will not clear the frame because the offset is too deep. Look at the disk on a 4x4 set up and you will see how deep it puts the mounting plate and caliper bracket. A 4x2 set up is may or may not be a direct bolt on without clearance issues. If I see a 4x2 blazer in the yard I plan to buy the parts and give it a shot. The Camaro LS 98-2002 rear brake set up is the best salvage yard set up out there but require larger rims for caliper bracket clearance.

So you just confirmed what Im saying, that no body seems to know if the 2 wheel drive blazer disks will fit or not. The fronts are from a 2 wheel drive Blazer, if the rears fit it will be a matched set.

2wheel&4 wheel drive blazers have the same rear rotors i just pulled a set of front spindles/brakes from a 04 xtreme the rears were the same as the 4wd blazer next to it dave

Just a quick update, I went back and took some measurements, from the very rear of the caliper (closest to the spring) to the outside of the rotor (where it touches the wheel) on a 2 wheel drive S10 Blazer is 6 inches and the 4 wheel drive S10 blazer is 7 inches and it appears the rotors are deeper on a 4 wheel drive. There was no 2 wheel drive S10 pickups with rear disks in the yard to compare these too.
I pulled the parts for the disk brakes off the 2 wheel drive, backing plates are rusted on one side so I might just trim those off unless I can just get new plates.

Also it still has the stock Bilstein shocks in the rear, I've heard both ways that they are an improvement or not.
