Not on the G but on my DD AWD Safari van. I did brakes all way round in Dec ( 25 thousand kms ago ). When pulling the boat on the weekend ( no brakes on the boat trailer BTW ) I noticed a slight shimmy on the rear axle pulling the back end to the right ( passenger side ) when braking. Nothing severe, and nothing really that noticeable every time you brake but it was enough to notice 4 or 5 times during the hour drive there and again going back. I mentioned it to my passengers and nobody else felt it.
When I did the brakes I had 1 slider on the PS rear that was a little sticky and had a ripped boot so I replaced the whole mounting arm with sliders intact ( it was cheaper than rebuilding my old junk to get the loaded caliper ). I had a couple hours to kill today so I dug a little deeper.

I popped off the DS rear caliper. Both pins are good, pad wear is even. Pushed the piston in caliper back ( smooth ) pumped the caliper piston out an inch or so and pushed it back in again ( smooth )

Next on to the culprit ( I think ) PS Rear Caliper. Both pins are good, inner pad is worn 30% to 40% more than the outer ( the outer pad is roughly the same thickness as the 2 on the DS ). I pushed the piston in caliper back ( smooth ) pumped the caliper piston out an inch or so and pushed it back in again ( smooth )

Typically I would just toss on a loaded caliper and call it a day but I already did that back in December. Everything moves smoothly. I didn't notice any binding and the caliper came out smooth and even when the brakes were applied.

For giggles I pulled both front wheels and all 4 pads are wearing evenly. The van doesn't pull nor does the pedal vibrate. I only notice this when pulling the boat trailer ( probably 2500 lbs ) and only this last week.

From what I've experienced it'd always the curb side of the car/truck that has disk brake problems - probably from the flung up road dirt. Is the parking brake releasing fully?

When you removed the caliper for inspection, did you remove the pads themselves. The pad may be stuck in place and maintain pressure when brakes are released.

Parking brake is not hanging up ( they are actually backed off quite a bit just to be sure )
I took the pads out to inspect them and the Stainless hardware in the caliper. Everything is in there snug but not binding.
For the price I may just toss another loaded caliper on there, maybe even do both of them before the snow flies. I don't want to get caught in a panic stop in the snow and have it pull me sideways

Sounds like a seized caliper but you said they move smoothly. I had a similar situation that turned out to be a collapsed brake line.

My son had a day off school yesterday so he got roped into coming to work. Its such a pia trying to bleed brakes by yourself !
We swapped out both rear calipers, pads and rotors. Replaced all the brake fluid at all 4 corners while we were at it ( it looked like cola ). Lubed it up, oil change and tossed the snows on there. She's ready for winter service now !
I didn't even get a test drive in. I will be hauling the boat to work next week to get it ready for storage. Then up to a friends place in Barrie where it will rest for the winter.
I love the cooler temps this time of year but so much to do on the rigs and around the house to get ready for the cold !
