ok assuming i can come up with a rear end and disk brakes from something out of our junk yard, what would you recommend I put in? I guy I work with has a welder and plenty of tools, but im only a high school student and I only can afford to spend about 200 bucks on parts. We have a f-body at the yard right now, I dont know what the rear end looks like but it has rear disk brakes, could I use that whole axle on my regal? what about using the front disk breaks? Of course this stupid thing has been sitting on blocks for 5+ years so i of course would get new pads and slotted rotors. Is this job doable?

also what cars came with sway bars so I can look for them when Im out junk yard shopping in other yards?

there are no good bolt-ons for the g-body rear. you can use 92-96 f-body brakes with some drilling and cutting, which works well.
or you can get brakets to mount 80's caddy eldorado rear brakes. they're not all that good though.
the f-body rear is not a bolt in. some of the a and b-bodies are close and can be used with proper control arms.
sway bars--i think there are 2 rear sizes 3/4 and 7/8. pretty much any model could have one but the performance models are the most likely. obviously if there are 2 sizes you want the larger. i'd find the codes that indicate an F-41 package and pull the front (1 1/4) and rear bars and the chassis braces.

Hey megaladon6 what do you mean that the caddy brackets are not all that good. I have a set of 79 Seville calipers and brackets and I'm thinking of using the Thirdgen F-Body Rear Drum Brakes to LS1 Discs process as a guide to put them on my 79 Malibu. {http://www.thirdgen.org/ls1reardisc}

Do you have any suggestions for me?

Being familiar myself with being a poor high school student trying to spiff up the car a bit (bought my 442 at 17), my advice is to save your money.

Chances are that $200 could go to a lot better use on any number of areas on your car.

actually i meant the brakes aren't that good, not the brackets. the caddy calipers don't have the greatest clamping force IIRC, and they are HIGHLY prone to the p-brake sticking and the pistons getting stuck from rust.
my suggestion is to use f-body brakes. the good news is that some companies are finally starting to make bolt on brackets for the G rear.
how far from CT are you? i have a set of 94? camaro brakes with the brackets and everything that i no longer need.
