Hello, I have found a 3.73 positraction rear-end in a 1987 camaro and $500 takes the whole car. I'm interested in putting 3.73s in my grand prix to replace the 3.08s that are in there now. Will this rear bolt right into my car? I remember reading a thread somewhere that I beleive said there would need to be modifications. What type of modifications would need to be done?

the rear axle housing would need to have new control arm mounts welded on, it's not worth it. especially since it's still a 7.5in rear. but the gears will fit from one to the other.

A Camaro is MUCH wider than a G body, and uses a different rear suspension. The only rear that bolts right in a G body is one from a G body.

if you do use the center section makes sure your axles are 28 spline and not 26 . Axle splines are different . Im running the same carrier but used moser 28 spline to make it all work.

Thanks for the replies guys. It seemed like a good idea when I first saw the car but I'm starting to get the idea to save my time and efforts and do it right when the time comes. I'm probably going to need a tire donation box when i get around to 3.73s anyway...
