Nice looking engine, I have a friend that's into pontiac, mostly vintage firebird. My 455 is olds, it's .030 over, stroked, torker intake, 900cfm demon, polished rods, balanced, blueprinted bottom end, 11:0 to 1 compression, stock c casting heads that have been ported and polished with oversize valves, mondello cam, hooker super comp headers, th 350 trans, all in an 84 cutlass with an 87 front end. As far as the car goes, moroso trick front and rear springs, comp eng 3 adj shocks, 12 chev rear w/ 4:11, no hop bars, working on the upper and lower adj control arms, alum radiator, elect fans, heater delete plate, 6 point cage, buckets seats, 5 point harnesses, weld 3 1/2 front and still working on the rear of the car for right now. I did have it completely repainted about 2 years ago and now slowly getting everything together. It's a work in progress. Can't forget the autometer gauges either. Oh yea not to worry I'm a certified master mechanic with experience so no keyboard wrench turner here.

Sounds like a similar combo to mine.

I'll race ya for a case of beer.

I make it to Norwalk once a year.

A little update on my malibu's back seat. I went to a body shop last week and got a dented hood they had sitting around. I cut the edges off with my torch, so I could get just the hood skin. After cutting cardboard as a templet for the metal pieces I needed, I used a jig saw to cut the two pieces of metal. There's still some clean-up and trimming I need to do, but everything looks like it should go together pretty good. I'm thinking of using liquid nail along with tack welding around the edges. I'm thinking the liquid nail will keep things from clanging against each other and the welds will stiffin things up back there....I should finish things up soon and I'll post pictures when it's done
