rear speakers

anyone run a 5.25" speaker in the rear 4x10 position? seems like they would sound better than a 4x10 or a 5x7
 
I put 6.5" in the side area above the arm rest and a tweeter in the rear deck and left the rear open where the speakers went so the sub sounds nice a clear
 
yeah i looked at those. i just like the factory trim above the rear arm rests as they have the wood grain of my door panels since its the limited model. they are kind of unique in my opinion from the standard ones you see in most cars. i was thinking a 5.25 would maybe fit under the rear package tray
 
yeah the stock are 4x10
 
what about if you got these 1" 5.25 speaker spacer...maybe you can modify one side to fit and bond it in place and then mount your speaker to it..

you read my mind exactly, except i was looking at mdf ones lol
 
you got it. now to figure out the best way to mount an amp cleanly in the trunk lol
