I had my car parked during winter and since then I've noticed my car didn't have the same stance. So I brought it up to the gas station and filled the rear suspension with under 100psi. I'm not exactly sure how much because my tire gauge I had at the time didn't fit the valve.

It's been a couple weeks and I thought I was going crazy because my car looked like it was sitting lower. Well sure enough I got myself a proper gauge and there wasn't any pressure in the shocks. This time I have around 70psi in them, they're rated for 250psi, with a min. of 25psi. So I imagine having nothing in them didn't help. :x

I also got a valve cover since the other one was none existent.

I'll watch it over the next few days, do you think I'll need to replace them if it's still losing air?

Fill a pump spray bottle with some water and dish soap. Load up with air, and spray the solution around all the fittings, watching for bubbles. Likely you'll find a leak or two at the fittings. You can try tightening them up a bit and test again. Worst case, you may need a new line kit, which is available at most parts stores.

The plastic lines can rub, age and crack, or the rubber o-rings can dry and shrink, both are common leak sources. Try the soapy water test like previously mentioned, and if there's any leaks, a new line kit is only like $10.

Well this is a pretty new system, only 3 years old roughly, and I checked it out today and I found all the fittings were loose. The fittings attaching to the shocks, and the fittings attaching to the valve stem. On the right shock I could freely twist it with little effort!

So I tightened all of the plastic fittings and I've been watching it.

I think it's holding air, I put in 90lbs, when I tested it had 85lbs. I found out every time I checked it I let out about 5lbs of pressure. I did that like 3 times in a row, and THAN I finally figured it out. 😳

I'll test it in a few days to be safe.

If I notice that it's still leaking air I'll do the soapy water test.

Thanks for the helps guys!
