Thinking of parts to upgrade the rear suspension, the main concern is to hook up decently while not compromising too much cornering ability. I'm not building a drag car here, but would like to keep the car straight when punched, without being all over the road. (didn't include coil springs/shocks)

How do these ideas sound...

lift bars

Any other ideas, or does this set up look good?

i wouldnt do the lift bars or those traction bars. i've heard alot of people not liking them on street cars. the upper control arms are ok, i would get a set of upper adjustable control arms and square stock lowers. looks like you arent worried about the cost either.

take a look at the webstite for BMR you can get all of your rear parts from them and they are really good quality.

on my monte carlo i have "icemans" upper adjustable control arms, square stock lower arms with steel bushings, stock upper control arms bushinigs in the rear end, and i also have a 1.375" rear swar bar that mounts in the factor spots. i only spent around $250 on all of these parts and even with my high torque big block i have zero wheel hop and there are alot of high power g-bodies with the same setup and they are in the 9 second range.

It seems like their is a lot of people who like this website, http://www.scandc.com/currectrac.ht...about the problems with the stock suspension.

marcus at SC&C definately knows the g-bodies and wil help you out. luckily it sounds like you're not too worried about handling so most of the weak points of the geometry aren't a problem.
i'd definately get the adjustable UCA's. the lift bars may be overkill on a street car but i'm not sure.

Thanks everyone, all good advice. Will take into account all the suggestions. It was basically a wish list since I don't have much money left because of the engine, the suspension will most likely be done next fall or later.
