ok guys so i installed my new rear with my new lower and upper control arms. I bought them off a guy here years ago and didnt come with any instructions. So i installed the control arms in the position in which he had them installed. I could tell my the history marks on the sway bar the position in which he had them installed. Here is my concern; It took some serious prying to get the sway bar into place. There are 2 spacers welded onto the control arms that protrude from them about 1/2". he had these facing in. if they were facing out i believe i could have just held the sway bar up and bolted it in place. Its still in the car for now. Should i remove the and swap sides. See pics below. I appreciate any help

note: this was my first time installing rear suspension components of this nature. So i looked for history marks since there was a lack of instructions lol

I would remove it cause if the sway bar is under pressure that pressure is going affect the bar in it's neutral position...is there no way just to grind off the spacers on the control arm?

the car is still in the air. Simple enough i can pop the sway bar off tomorrow after work and swap the lowers on each side. The nubs/spacers are only on 1 side of the control arm. So if i swap sides they will be on the outside. Shouldnt take too terribly long. It was really concerning me so i figured i would ask just to be safe yah know.

I would swap sides with the arms just because of how odd it looks. I've never seen a rear sway bar of that style that wasn't basically flush with the control arms. Pontiacgp has the better point though. I just installed a sway bar like that a couple days ago and it moved right in to place without having to be put under any sort of tension. I would definitely try swapping the control arms around.

Swapped the control arms this afternoon and the sway bar slid right into place and bolted in with zero issues. Thanks guys

They seem very well built
