Ok so I recently just finished doing a ford 9" swap on my 81 monte street /strip project and I ran into a small issue. the housing I used is 60-3/4" wide which is wider than stock and thats not an issue cause I plan on just using different back spacing to make up for the extra length. However the housing (allstar performance) uses a 2" off center pinnion which allows for equal length axles. I know the pinion yoke lines up with the transmission tail stock just fine and the drive shaft has lots of room. However the problem I have run into is that because the center pot of the housing is 2 inches to the right my stock sway bar will to fit cause it contacts the housing. Does anybody know of an aftermarket rear sway bar that will give me a little more room to clear the housing or will I need an anti-roll bar thats adjustable to work? Any input is appreiciated.

So your actual center section housing is moved over to the passenger side of your car 2"?
I've never seen that at it does seem like it would cause fitment issues with other components such as sway bars and trying to get a tailpipe over that side of the axle.
So is your stock sway bar the style that has a bend that goes under the housing?
There are aftermarket sway bars that are straight (no bend to clear the housing) and go behind the housing and should clear even with it being 2" off center, just check with different vendors and do some mock ups using their measurements to make sure they will clear before buying.

it sure is pitched to to the right...the picture at All Star give your a good view of the ears. I'd be asking them for suggestions for a sway bar

From what I can remeber when I measured this upthe pinion acutally ended up only being about an inch to the right from stock. The pinnion on a 9" center section is apporx 1" to the right to begin with so the housing center pot must be moved over 1" to give the 2" offset and equal length axles. Correct me if im wrong but from what I remember when I measured the stock rear to make sure this one would work I found the the stock pinion was approx 1" to the right from center from factory. Also I was told by a guy that races g-bodys on the circle track that the engine and trans are offset to the right. Anyways I made sure the drive shaft should clear just fine. The actually stock sway bar almost clears but it just touches the right side of the bigger 9" center pot. I was thinking something like this would be my best bet?
