The Distance from the edge of my tire to the wheel well is 3 Inches, What size wheel spacer should I put on. Im thinking 2.5 Inches which would be 85 dollars. But Im having second thoughts for 2.2 inches..

Just my opinion, but I don't trust the safety of any wheel spacer thicker than about 1/4". Before I spend good money on spacers, I'd be looking at wider wheels.

My thoughts are this.

NHRA allows the use of 1 and only 1 spacer, what is in the link is an adapter.

Not NHRA legal. You may never race it, but you gotta wonder why they are outlawed.

I had a customer that wanted me to use them on a 500 hp Trans Am, I refused.

I ended up pressing the "studs" out of the adapters and using them as spacers.

Also upgraded to longer, thicker, grade 8 studs on the car.

It has been fine for years now.

I have a (insert dyno hp here!) HP supercar. Can I still use the adapters safely?
Our adapters have been run on pro-stock cars without any problems. They performed flawlessly. Its doubtable you'll be able to stress the adapters any further.

if you buy quality adapters with the proper hub bore and lip you'll be fine. plenty of guys use them racing and auto-xing which beats on them pretty good.

Skulte's description of their adapters speaks volumes. Machined from 6061 T6 aluminum, they likely have a strength factor very close to mild steel. Adapters I've seen in the discount parts stores look like they're cast, not machined from billet. No way am I trusting a cast aluminum part on my car.
