rear windows

i have an 83 malibu wagon and it was a stripper new. im wondering if i can get windows for the rear doors that roll down. it has the wing windows but the main windows dont move. anyone know of rear windows in anything that roll down that would fit?

None to my knowledge. From the factory, the wings were the only ones to move.

To make them roll, you would need to do some fab work as far as rails and lift assemblies. My suggestion would be to find hardware from a 77-90 B-body (Caprice, Delta 88, etc.) and utilize it. The windows should be similar in size.

I know I'm sort of late on this subject, but my rear windows do not roll down either. All of the other 4 door malibus I have seen do not roll down either. I am planning on trying to fab sometime up sometime, because I sure do miss ALL of my windows being down, expecally in this 100+ degree weather we're having.

Look carefully, there's noplace for the glass to go even if you could roll it down. The bottom rear edge would be outside of the door....

G body wagons left the factory that way. The marketing people said it was to maximise rear luggage space but GM saved a few bucks that way. Maybe sedan doors will fit, or get the A/C working!.

Sedan doors do not fit, but I'm sure if you're determined enough you could fab something up!

You could make the glass removable, and stow them away when you wanted to turn on the 4/55 Air Cond.

No 4 door 78-80's had rear roll down windows that I'm aware of. I did have an 85 Bonny sedan that had electric rear vents.
Also think I saw a newer wagon with electric rear windows, but I'd bet the doors wouldn't fit.
Fix the A/c.

i was pulling parts for my 79 malibu wagon off a 78 malibu sedan at the junkyard and i noticed that the rear windows were stationary just like mine. :?
