well, i did solved the problem, it where problems with the valvelash, i had set the valve lash when there wasnt any pressure on the oil system, this probably caused the valves to stay open. butt now, i set the valve lash again and the engine runs smooth, and clean spark plugs. but i still think the mixture off lpg is too lean, but i can set that with a screwdriver.custom442 said:pfcvdv said:i started the buick again, headers dont get hot anymore, but now the engine knocks like a diesel, im sure its not detonating.
what did you do? why don't you give any info so people can help you find out whats going on? is this an O2 regulated lpg system? did you change any timing before starting again? did you fix the lash?
such late ignition + if it was incredibly lean + hitting that roller cam hard may have done more than you may think under the timing chain cover, lets hope its just a bad seal
but something i've never seen before is that after 300 mioes with a new engine from blueprint engines i still have clean oil. so i guess they just gave me a good short block
if you guys ever want to know more about how my lpg system works, just ask.
