The problem is he is tightening them.

And six lug nuts on a bud wheel.

Took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at.

Tightening the lugs

Using a rolling jack as a chock behind the wheel

Removing all the lugs on one side instead of alternating

Removing lugs all the way instead of just loosening before lifting in the air

Almost would appear to be damaging the stud, and thats if he isn't melting something to the socket....

Even IF he wasn't going the wrong direction, if he WAS loosening, if it broke free it would fly upwards and hit the torch and his hand when it broke loose...

On the left front there is a good possibility they are left hand threaded.
Better than good - they are left hand thread.

Maybe he’s actually gas welding the lugs on so they don’t loosen. We’ve all been looking at the meme wrong.

So what do you figure would be worse if it cracked free? The number of broken hand bones to go with the bruising from being hit by the breaker bar, burns from the torch being kocked out of hand, or, torch lands on the gas line and sets off an explosion?

I’ll assume you’ve never been involved in anything if this nature. Nothing bad is going to happen unless the guy doing it does something stupid.
